Taylor School District offers an optional Chromebook Protection Plan that can be purchased annually to protect against accidental damage to your student’s Chromebook. This plan is highly recommended to protect against minor damages to student devices.

Simple, Flat-Rate Chromebook Repairs

We are streamlining our Chromebook repair fees to keep things simple and predictable for students and families. Moving forward, we are replacing itemized repair costs with a straightforward $50 flat fee per repair.

Whether it is a cracked screen, a broken keyboard, a damaged charging port, or a missing key, you pay $50 per damage incident, regardless of the specific part that broke.

Replacement Exceptions

Standard flat-rate pricing applies to all repairable damages. However, full replacement fees apply in the following two scenarios:

• Damaged Beyond Repair: If a device suffers catastrophic damage and cannot be safely or economically fixed, a flat $300 replacement fee will be assessed.

• Lost or Stolen: If a Chromebook is lost or stolen, a flat $300 replacement fee will be assessed.
