If you are interested in joining or continuing in the THS Marching Band or Colorguard,
you and your parent(s)/legal guardian(s) MUST be at this meeting!
Are you interested in participating in the Taylor High School Marching Band or Colorguard
for the 2025-2026 season? Then this is the meeting for you!
WHEN: Thursday, January 16, 2025 - Doors open at 6:30pm for registration. Meeting
begins at 7pm.
WHO: MANDATORY for both NEW and CONTINUING students who are interested in
participating in the THS Marching Band, including Colorguard, and their
parent(s)/guardian(s).
(NOTE: Meeting open to students currently in 7th-11th grade,
who will be in grades 8th-12th in the 2025-2026 school year.
Depending on needs, we MAY accept a very
limited number of middle school “preemies,” with a referral from their current band
director and approval by the THS Band Director. Preemies are students who will be
in 8th grade during the season.)
WHERE: Taylor High School, Cafeteria B – park in staff lot off of Janet Street, near tennis
courts. Enter building through door #10 near Café B/Corewell Health entrance
Please join our Band Director Brian Wieczorek, Assistant Director Markita Moore and our
THS Music Boosters for this mandatory meeting. We will be providing information on how
Marching Band works for our upcoming 2025-26 season including mandatory band camp
dates and details, rehearsals, performances, competitions, attendance expectations,
pricing, fundraisers, volunteer opportunities, THS Music Boosters, etc.
