Taylor School District!

OUT OF DISTRICT SCHOOL OF CHOICE WILL OPEN FOR GRADES K-5 DECEMBER 8, 2024 THROUGH JANUARY 31, 2025.  

Please gather the following documents BEFORE you begin the enrollment process (all Pre-Enrollment forms received without the required documentation will be deleted after one week and will require a new application):

• Child's Birth Certificate

• Child's CURRENT Immunization Records (must be up-to-date to start school) Please include visioning report if available

• Child’s Physical (Kindergarten only)

• Parent/Guardian Driver's License/State ID (MUST be a parent listed on birth certificate or a "legal" guardian

• Transcript (for any child that has begun high school)

• Two CURRENT (2) Proofs of Residency as follows:

  • MORTGAGE        

  • LEASE                       

  • BILL OF SALE FOR HOME 

  • PROPERTY TAX DOCUMENTATION   

  • CURRENT UTILITY BILL, WATER BILL, PHONE BILL, ETC.      

  • DHHS, SSI, FOC, ETC.  DOCUMENTATION

  • AUTO REGISTRATION             

  • DRIVERS LICENSE OR VOTERS REGISTRATION (would only count as one)

• The child's IEP if your child receives Special Education Services.

• If you are a foster parent or court-appointed guardian, we require OFFICIAL DOCUMENTATION establishing guardianship. 

Note: If your child has a Special Education IEP (or 504), your child will not be considered registered until our Special Education Services receives and reviews those documents and the parent/guardian has been notified of the child's status for enrollment. Please have a copy of your child's IEP ready for us to copy. 

Kindergarten Students
According to Michigan Law, a child must be 5 years of age by December 1st to register for kindergarten. If you child will be 5 years of age after December 1st please look into our preschool enrollment information below.

Preschool Students
If you are registering your child for preschool you will need to apply in person at Johnson Early Childhood Center located at 20701 Wohlfeil, Taylor, MI 48180. Click here for more information. Please do not enroll your child via the "Enroll Today" link below.

REMEMBER:  Your child is not enrolled until you receive an official "welcome" email from our enrollment department stating that your child is enrolled.
