Thank You To The Community
In 2021, Taylor voters made a bold investment in our schools, approving a $130 million bond—one of the largest in Metro Detroit! This bond gives us the opportunity to upgrade learning environments, improve facilities, and strengthen our schools for years to come.
We’re excited to share updates on how these funds are being used to make a real difference for students and the community.
Who’s Helping Us Get There (Add a header using the Taylor Blue/Green. Could we add the logos of the companies?)
Big projects take strong partners!
- Sache Construction and Development Company, L.L.C. is managing construction at the Athletic Fields.
- The Collaborative Group is our project architect.
- Barton Malow Builders serves as the district’s owner’s representative—making sure projects stay on track, within budget, and aligned with our goals.
What’s Happening Now (Add a header using the Taylor Blue/Green)
We’re putting your investment to work!
Current priorities include:
- Improving High School Building Conditions
Making sure the building itself is up-to-date and comfortable for students and staff.
- Upgrading Athletic Facilities at Taylor High School
New improvements are on the way for the baseball and softball fields and tennis courts. Bids are in, and construction is expected to begin this spring.
- Projects Already Underway
- High School Mechanical Control Upgrade – boosting efficiency and comfort.
Completed projects include:
- Holland, Myers, and McDowell Elementary Schools – Multiple renovations were completed to accommodate students transitioning from a recently closed building. These updates ensured that students had the space, resources, and learning environments they needed right away.
Why It Matters (Add a header using the Taylor Blue/Green)
Every decision we make with bond dollars is focused on one thing: student success.
By making smart, timely investments, we’re ensuring that:
- Facilities are safe, modern, and welcoming.
- Learning environments support every student’s growth.
- Taxpayer dollars are used responsibly and transparently.
Transparency & Community Input (Add a header using the Taylor Blue/Green)
Your voice matters. District leaders, along with our partners, have shaped project plans—and the community will continue to have opportunities to share input along the way.
Our Commitment (Add a header using the Taylor Blue/Green)
The bond is about more than buildings—it’s about people. Every dollar we spend is an investment in our students’ future and the Taylor community. Together, we’re Educating, Engaging, and Empowering ALL students—today and for generations to come.
